When it comes to impressive and unique Christmas party venues, London has its fair share of options. With so many great options available, finding the perfect venue for your festive celebration is no easy job.

Our team of event planners have narrowed down their favourite Christmas party venues in London.

Best traditional Christmas party venues

The Pavilion at the Tower of London

Iconic London at Christmas doesn’t get much better than the purpose-built events space at the Pavilion at the Tower of London. The Pavilion is set within the tower’s North Moat and provides a VIP experience for up to 1200 guests within regal, sophisticated interiors that spill out onto a large private garden.

You may choose to decorate the space, or simply bask in the famous location and its iconic scenery. With atmospheric lighting and an integrated sound system, the Pavilion at the Tower of London includes everything you need to create a memorable event.

City Central at the HAC

For large or shared Christmas celebrations, City Central at the HAC provides serious wow factor. Set within the five-acre grounds of the historic Honourable Artillery Company, City Central is exactly that: central.

Just a five-minute walk away from Moorgate or Barbican, or nine from Liverpool Street, City Central at the HAC is a well-connected location for parties with large numbers.

The idyllic garden looks out onto the HAC’s Armoury House, whilst the venue’s main indoor dining space provides room for up to 1000 guests, a dance floor and a bar. Alongside those views, what more could you want?!

Exhibition London

Christmas party packages at Exhibition London are both extensive and impressive, including exclusive hire of the venue, unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, a production package including an LED moving light rig, DJ and dancefloor, stylish lighting and Christmas theming.

The venue itself retains Victorian charm from its original build in 1899, including exposed red brick, high ceilings and tiled interior walls, and an impressive capacity of up to 1400 guests.

Best historic Christmas party venues

Old Royal Naval College

Elegantly decorated with historic paintings, the Painted Hall at Old Royal Naval College is something that everyone should experience at least once – but maybe we’re biased.

Suitable for large dinners and drinks receptions for up to 400 guests, this riverside venue is one of London’s finest achievements, located in historic Greenwich.

Accessible from Central London by boat, parties at Old Royal Naval College provide a truly unique experience just 20 minutes from the heart of the city; a sacred, calm masterpiece amongst the busyness of London.

Goldsmiths’ Hall

If you’re looking for traditional London luxury, we need to talk about Goldsmiths’ Hall. Christmas parties at Goldsmiths’ Hall are simply majestic, each space home to a number of period features. With Corinthian columns, gold-leaf, stained glass windows, walnut panelling, sparkling chandeliers and impressive paintings, oh – it’s opulent.

Located a stone’s throw from St. Paul’s Cathedral, this Grade I listed venue is as convenient as it is impressive, and it’s no surprise that it provided the set for Buckingham Palace in Netflix’s hit show, The Crown.

The Livery Hall features sparkling chandeliers, regal red flooring (festive!) and a lot of gold-leaf detail, whilst the Drawing Room provides a home away from home feel… if you’re a billionaire.

Gray’s Inn

The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn is a venue that doesn’t need much dressing up to feel special: it’s full of character, period charm, an impressive legal history and a five-acre outdoor event space, one of the largest private gardens in London.

The venue’s flagship event space, the Hall, hasn’t changed since Elizabethan times and oozes grandeur perfect for festive fine dining. With a vaulted ceiling, oak timbers and large stained-glass windows, the space is big enough to comfortably seat up to 156 guests for dinner whilst providing a cosy warmth which is ideal for the winter months.

Most unique Christmas party venues

Museum of London Docklands

The Museum of London Docklands is an impressive and unique representation of its nautical heritage with a riverside location to match.

The Grade I listed Georgian warehouse has kept many of its original features. Including pine columns and exposed brickwork, as well as Sailortown: a reconstruction of Victorian London. The winding streets of Wapping have been recreated to showcase the life of a sailor between 1840 and 1850, creating an immersive experience of pubs, lodging houses, rope-makers and more.

Sailortown is available for Christmas drinks receptions and provides a truly unique London experience. The museum’s other distinct event spaces provide backdrops for more traditional Christmas parties – though of course, with a unique maritime twist.

RSA House

As the intellectual and social home of some of the nation’s greatest thinkers for over 250 years, it’s not easy to find a more inspiring venue in London for a Christmas party.

The impressive Georgian building is behind the Strand and includes an array of event spaces, each unique. From the subterranean modern brickwork Vaults to the flagship Great Room, adorned in historic paintings, there’s an equally impressive space for all kinds of event brief.

The Vaults, located underneath RSA House, have an air of exclusivity with a private entrance accessible directly from the Strand, exposed brickwork throughout and great acoustics for music, perfect for the contemporary business or modern-day employer.

Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

Stepping into RIBA is like stepping back in time, with art-deco features and original 1930s fixtures, the spaces are light, bright and spacious and provide a chic mid-century backdrop to Christmas parties in the City.

It’s not your traditional Christmas party venue – but that’s why we love it. The unusual etched glass doors into the Florence Hall make an interesting talking point alongside floor-to-ceiling windows, carved stone and patterned flooring (which makes a great dancefloor!) leading out to a leafy roof terrace.

With capacity for up to 400 guests, the Royal Institute of British Architects is suitable for larger company Christmas parties and is conveniently located in Marylebone, close to both Oxford Circus and Regent’s Park tube stations.
