How to find the right wedding venue for you

The most important thing to think about when it comes to choosing your wedding venue, is you. Your parents, friends or family may want something specific for you – but if you don’t want it, it shouldn’t be what you have.

The number one rule for eve weddings: what the Bride and Groom say goes.

Think about your key criteria: perhaps you’re choosing a wedding venue in London for the riverside views, convenient transport options or just because you love it – either way, stick to this criteria. Do you need a licensed venue? Outdoor or indoor? Work out what’s important to you and your venue to have and don’t budge.

Our collection of wedding venues in London

Palace, poolside, museum… eve can help you find that stuff-of-dreams wedding venue in London. We can even help organise the whole package for you: the ceremony, catering and on-site facilities and, to whet your appetite, how about a private menu tasting for two? It’s all part of the package.

Our hand-picked selection of London wedding venues are each unique in their own way: eve loves venues with a story. From the British Medical Association HQ and historical Livery Halls to museums and previously private residences, all of our venues have unbeatable views of iconic London and those all-important transport links.

1How does eve work?

eve is a venue finder covering London’s most iconic spaces. Our portfolio includes everything from historic Livery Halls and museums, houses and HQs to contemporary, bright riverside venues. It’s the job of our experienced in-house event managers and wedding planners to help couples find their perfect wedding venue in London.

2Is there a fee to book wedding venues via eve?

There’s no fees for couples using eve.

3Can eve help us dress our venue?

Yes! When you book a wedding venue with eve, you get your own planner, too. That’s the best thing about eve: we don’t just find venues, we help you shape your whole day.

4I have my own wedding planner - is that OK?

Of course. It’s your day – do it how you want! We will always advocate for that. If you’ve got a specific planner that you would like to use, we’ll help you find the perfect wedding venue in London for your day and hand everything over from there.

If you don’t already have a planner, you might find our guide on How To Plan A Wedding extra helpful.

5How do I check venue availability?

It’s quick and easy to get in touch with us. We’ll help you figure out whether the venue(s) you’ve got your eye on is suitable and available on your chosen date. Just ask eve.

Contact us

6Are your wedding venues licensed?

Most of our wedding venues are licensed for wedding ceremonies, though not all of them. You might find it helpful to refer to our wedding venue brochure which has details about which of our venues are licensed.

you can also give us a ring and we’ll answer any questions about your chosen venue. We can even help you narrow down your search if you’re still looking.

7Do we have to use pre-approved suppliers?

Every eve venue has a list of recommended suppliers who know the ins and outs of each space (and rest assured, they’re the best of the best) but you may want to stray from this if there is something you really want for your wedding.

The only thing we do ask is that you use CH&CO for catering. eve is part of CH&CO – an independent hospitality caterer – but they’re super experienced and industry-renowned for being the bee’s knees, so…

8Can we have exclusive hire?

Many of our venues offer exclusive hire, but some aren’t able to do this – ask eve. Old Royal Naval College, for example, is a London landmark and we are therefore not able to close it off from the public (it’s a historic masterpiece, don’t you know)

9Do eve venues have disabled access?

All eve wedding venues in London have disabled access, apart from Dartmouth House, which has no lift access in the building. We have, however, used the lift in the adjoining hotel in the past.

10How are you keeping wedding guests safe in light of Covid-19 and will there be restrictions?

All eve venues are ‘Covid-safe’ and operating in-line with the current government guidelines as they evolve. Please refer to our latest guidelines for having your wedding with an eve venue, which also outlines everything we’re doing to keep you, your suppliers and ourselves safe.

11What happens if I change my mind after booking a wedding venue?

The cancellation policy will vary from venue to venue so be sure to check this when you make your booking, just in case.

12Are your venues licensed for Civil Ceremonies?

Many of eve’s venues are able to host civil ceremonies, but not all of them just yet. Be sure to check whether each wedding venue you’re interested can hold them, as it varies from one to the next.

Alternatively, you can get in touch with us and we can give you any information regarding what each venue is licensed for.

For more information about registering a Civil Partnership in London, you can visit Citizens Advice.
